Map search and GIS: what to check

Open map search. Use Flagler County Map Search.

TRIM notice and appeal steps

Read the TRIM notice. Flagler says TRIM notices typically mail in August and include proposed just value, assessed value, taxable value and proposed millage rates.
Check exemptions first. If homestead, agricultural classification or another exemption is missing, find your receipt.
Prepare market evidence. If market value seems too high, collect comparable sales, repair explanations and condition proof as of January 1.
Contact the Property Appraiser quickly. Flagler says if a mistake has been made, the office will correct it.
File VAB if unresolved. Petitions must be filed with the Clerk’s office on or before the 25th day after mailing of the proposed tax notice.
